Evans Head Gym

Jamo’s was founded on little more than a prayer and some hard work. It has always been our dream to open our own gym and create a space for people of all walks of life to not just train in, but feel like they belong. When we opened the doors in April 2024, we didn’t even have enough money to finish the floor, with half the gym still bare concrete. To some we may have looked crazy, with no funds behind us, and no experience running a business. But we knew what we were building was important, and we decided we’d figure it all out along the way. As we gained members, we put everything we could back into growing the gym. We have been so fortunate to receive all the support we have from our members and they are what makes our gym so special.

Our mission is to provide good quality strength and conditioning coaching for all ages, shapes, sizes, and goals, as well as foster a fun and supportive environment.

We are:

• The ONLY gym in Evans offering group weightlifting classes.
• The ONLY gym in Evans Head which is run by Sport Scientists and Strength and Conditioning Coaches with experience coaching Elite athletes.
• The ONLY gym in Evans Head with multiple squat racks, platforms and ample floor space, as well as a 17m sled track!
• The ONLY gym in Evans Head which offers specialised coaching for teens and athletes.
